Life Guarding
I've noticed that my past few blogs I've been soft of complaining about something. I've also noticed that it's a lot easier to write 350 words when you are complaining about something. For this blog I'm not really going to complain, but I'm going to write about my job as a lifeguard at a country club pool. To start off, life guarding is a job, although many will disagree, just for very lazy people. it consist of siting for extended periods of time while yelling at kids and taking crap from parents (sometimes.) It has made me realize how evil children can be, although when I was a kid, I was the little bastard that wouldn't stop running around the damn pool despite being told not to constantly. Although when we actually do have to do our job, which would be saving someones life, it kicks the shit out of any non-internship summer job because we just saved a persons life. But that rarely happens, I've only had to pull a few kids out who's parents were too stupid to realize that a two year old can't quite swim. That really only happens at the indoor pool at the YMCA. The parents at the country club are a little smarter than that. The worst days, however, are when I go out the night before, and the next day at work ends up being a special day where every kid that belongs to the club are there. I would have a headache out the waazoo, and there would be kids everywhere screaming and having too much fun for my liking. But I still like the job. I like being outside all the time and I work with a lot of fun people. The pay is alright, it's enough to get me by and I'm not a very big spender so it normally lasts me. My favorite days are when I have to pull a double shift, which means I'm there all day, and it begins to rain very early so no one shows up and me and the people working just chill in the guard shack and basically get hours for free. Sometimes the rain will stop long enough for people to start coming so we can't close up early, but then it starts to rain again so they leave and we have to stay until closing. So I basically get paid for a full day of absolutely nothing. It's a pretty legit job when you aren't really doing anything else.

St. Patrick's Day (and following weekend)
This blog is just going to be about my St. Patrick's Day and the weekend following it, nothing special really, just couldn't think of anything else because nothing really happened this week.
First, St. Patrick's Day was kind of a bust for me. I didn't know what to expect of it since we're at college and everything, but I unfortunately set my hopes too high. I did end up drinking, go figure, but I was expecting some huge party, but there wasn't any. I can understand why though, because it was the middle of the week, and a lot of my friends had tests Thursday and Friday. But I still had a good time though, me and a few of my hall mates just ended up drinking Guinness and playing video games until like 3 a.m. Niceeeeeeee. The next day was supposed to be the next "attack." I wasn't too worried though, there were a shit ton of police and the fucker probably would have gotten his shit wrecked. I don't understand why anyone wishes that kind of stuff on us, whether it be a joke or not, it's still bothers me that some Italian dickhead is messing with us like that. But anyways, Friday came around and I was supposed to go home after English, which was canceled so I could leave early that day. I had to go home for a job interview, for a job that I've had for the past four years. The worst part is that it's just for a life guarding job, so it's not even like actual work, unless I actually have to save someone which is when it gets pretty intense. During the interview, I found out that I didn't have to come home for it, they could have just done it over the phone, which was just freaking fantastic. I ended up baby siting for 7 hours the rest of that day, and apparently I missed a really fun weekend here too. The next day though I left at 12:00 p.m. and made it here by 2:58. The drive is normally supposed to be a 4 hour drive, but lets just say the roads were open, there were no cops, and I'm a champ. And I'm spent.

Spring Break
I don't know about you guys, but my spring break was not that good at all. To start off, we got out way too early. All of my other friends got off this week, so last week I just sat around with my friends that go here that I see almost everyday. Since most of my friends go to Maryland schools, and most Maryland schools got out this week, it was really boring. The first couple of days were alright, just because I had a rough week going into Spring break and I needed it. It was nice not to have to do any work. I just sat around and, you guessed it, drank with my best friend. After that I started to get boring. I ended up staying home all day and just lay around. One of the days I went out with my mom and she bought me a whole bunch of stuff, and that was nice. It was nice seeing all of my family again too, but that's only so fun. My two best friends that go to Maryland got home that Friday, but I couldn't hang out with them because They were either too tired or they're parents wanted to take them somewhere, which is alright. I got to hang out with them all Saturday, but that was it, we kinda just drove around, although we went to Chipotle which is always great. We really need one of those down here, Moe's is bush league compared to Chipotle. We also watched Zombieland that night. That's a movie that's always great every time you see it, it makes you really want to go kill zombies. After that I just went home and left the next day. I got to bring my car down which was nice, and I get to keep it for the rest of the year. I have to go back home next week though because I have a job interview at a place where I've been working for the past four years. They got a new manager so he wanted to see his options which is ok. Anyways, spring break kinda sucked, although the no school was nice.
