Creative Writing Story
A man and a woman are lost on a country road. They were trying to go to Frankfort, Kentucky when they stopped in a Starbucks to get directions. They asked the Starbucks employee there, who had an eye patch and looked like his entire face was burned, for directions. He spattered something crazy, pointed down the country road they were currently on and gave them their coffee with a maniacal look. As the couple traveled down the road, they stopped at an old road map to try and find their directions. The map had only one road: the road they were on, and a big TURN AROUND written over the town that seemed to be at the end of the road. On the ground, they found an old camera full of undeveloped film and decided to take it to get the film developed to try and find the owner. They decided to continue down the road to the town on the map to ask for more directions. It took about another hour to finally reach the town, which looked deserted. They found the nearest gas station, honked their horn, and someone came out. It was what looked like the same guy from the Starbucks that gave them to poor directions, only this one could speak. He kindly filled them up. They asked for directions, and he said that it was getting late and that they should stay at the inn for the night and get their bearings in the morning. They agreed, and he pointed them in the direction of the inn. On the way to the inn, they decided to stop in by the photoshop and get the film developed. They got it developed and decided to look at it later. They arrived at the inn to check in and, sure enough, what seemed to be the same guy was there to check them in. Though weird, they still checked in and got settled as a storm began to brew. They sat in bed together and decided to look at the photos, and as they did, a look of horror ran across their faces. All the pictures were of the man they’ve been seeing all day, only in each picture with him was a dead person, brutally mangled. Just as they got through the last picture, a bolt of lightning flashed and they saw out their window the man, watching them and wearing his Starbucks uniform. Moral of the story: Starbucks is evil. That was quite possibly the dumbest story I have ever written but hey it works. I had to work with the setting as a man and woman lost on a country road, the character as a Starbucks employee, and detail as an old camera full of undeveloped film.
