Best Summer So Far

For this blog I'm going to talk about the best Summer I ever had: The Summer before my Senior Year. It started off with a exchange program trip to Germany, where I lived with my German exchange student for two and a half weeks, and then explored the rest of Germany for a two weeks. It was really fun there, especially getting to learn about their culture and cities. Also the drinking age was 16 then, which was very convenient.
After that, I returned home just leave for a another camp thing I had to do for my school. Because I was lazy my senior year, I decided to take yearbook as a class. Unfortunately, I had to go to a year book camp at Gettysburg College with my friend and Co-editor Matt for a week. The days were boring, but at night we were allowed free time and it was an 8-2 girl to guy ratio, also very convenient. That actually turned out to be really fun.
Next was the best Fourth of July ever at my friends house. It was one of the biggest parties I have ever been too as it included all of my friends friends, and his older brothers friends, and a lot of the people that are invited by friends of friends.
The rest of the summer was the best part. I got to watch my Dad live one of his dreams. As kids, my Dad coached both me and my brother on Exchange, a team at our local little league baseball club called Federal Little league. He has been coaching that team for almost ten or more years now, and that summer he was chosen to be the manager of the All-Star team. The entire summer, I watched this team win their way our local tournament, to the Maryland tournament (which they won), to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament (which they also won), until they were the Mid-Atlantic Region representatives in the 2008 Little League World Series! Don't believe me? Here's a link to an article about them, my dad is Bill Abeles, mentioned in the article .http://www.herald-mail.com/?cmd=displaystory&story_id=200773&format=html They didn't win, but it's still the fact that they made it that's awesome, and all my Dad cared about. That's why the summer of 2008 was my best summer ever.
